• Our Mission

Our mission is to build on a foundation of loving families united with LGBTQ+ people and allies who support one another, and to educate ourselves and our communities to speak up as advocates until all hearts and minds respect, value and affirm LGBTQ people.

  • Our Vision

Indianapolis PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

Who We Are

PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies.

Indianapolis PFLAG ensures that all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people are valued by society and take pride in themselves. We do this by providing peer-to-peer support, educating people on the crucial issues to the community, and advocating for inclusive policies and laws.

About Our Logo

PFLAG's new logo is a vibrant reflection of who we are. We are passionate, iconic and bold. We center love. We are accessible. We are modern, fresh, and dynamic. We lead with love.

Core of Work

Peer-to-Peer Support Group

We were founded to be a support group at our core. We have supported families in need for over three decades through peer-to-peer meetings, online outreach, and telephone hotlines.

Community Engagement

We encourage people to support and engage with LGBTQ+ community members and organizations by showing up. We believe it is crucial for straight allies and loved ones to support the LGBTQ+ community visibly.

Education

We educate to prevent the formation of negative attitudes towards LGBTQ+ people and their families. We focus on opening minds and inspiring people to become straight allies in our work for LGBTQ+ equality.

Advocacy

No voice is more powerful or persuasive than that of a PFLAG member or supporter. As people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+), their parents, families, friends, and allies, we know firsthand the impact that discriminatory laws have on ourselves and our loved ones.
